Refund Policy
Southeast Gravel will transfer your event to a different event in our series until one week before the event. At this time we have already realized all expenses for organizing the event (food, permits, staff, etc) and can no longer accept rider transfers. There will be no refunds given for entry fees, only the option to transfer to another event in the series.
No. You can choose to enter any event that you would like. We understand that not everybody can make it to all six events. Look at your calendar and we hope to see you for whatever events you can make!
Once you enter an event you will earn points for how you finish in your category. We keep a year long tally of all the points for a series omnium. You do not have to enter all 6 events to participate in the omnium. Points in each category go 25 places deep (50, 45, 40, 37, 34, 31, 28, 25, 22, 19, 17, 15, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1)
You can choose whatever distance you want for each event, however, your series points will only accumulate for the distance you enter. For example, if you ride in 1 long event and 2 short events you will have series points in 1 long event and 2 short events. Your points from the 3 events will not combine.
Part of the beauty of the gravel events are that you can ride your own pace. Challenge yourself to make it to the finish, take your time if you need to. We’ll be cheering for you when you make it with hot food waiting. You’ve got this!
Yes! We want to encourage people to ride. However, if you are riding an e-bike you will not be eligible for the podium. Also, we VERY heavily encourage you not to sit on the front of your group pacing and/or dropping them. Ride with your group and use your assist when you need.
Unfortunately we can’t guarantee sunshine for every event. The events will be held rain or shine. In case of severe weather we will call for shelter and may delay or postpone the ride.
Yes, if you have registered and find out you can’t make the event, we will transfer your entry to a different event within the same year. Please note that the transfer cutoff window ends 7 days before the day of the event. There are NO TRANSFERS allowed within 7 days of the event.
Not everybody has a dedicated gravel bike. We have lot of people riding mountain bikes and those will work just fine. A road bike with smaller than 32mm tires is not recommended as the gravel roads would probably be too much for the narrow tires. There is a little bit of singletrack on the Greenwood course, but that is easily ridden with larger gravel tires.
Yes. It’s fairly easy to tell when people change distances during the event. We can easily edit your category to the short course. Note that we will add 10 minutes to your elapsed time. The short course starts 5 minutes after the long course so we want to ensure we’re not giving anyone a time advantage to start with the long course.
